**Gaza City, Gaza Strip** – Despite the constant threat of war and destruction, students in Gaza are fighting to pursue their education. Faced with daily challenges like electricity outages, limited study materials, and financial hardship, they are demonstrating remarkable resilience and determination.

Jannah Ahmad Abu Sitta, a student in Gaza, describes the struggles she and her peers face. “With constant electricity outages and a scarcity of study materials, I had to rely on my smartphone to download books in PDF format,” she writes. “I would sit in a corner of a tent, trying to summarize the information by the light of my phone, fearing the helplessness once the battery ran out.”

The cost of charging phones and purchasing internet access is a significant burden for many students. Even with limited resources, they are determined to succeed, with many sharing study materials and organizing their time to overcome the challenges.

The constant threat of violence makes studying almost impossible. “Studying in a tent is like playing chess on a bustling street,” Abu Sitta explains. “It is the sounds of bombings and drones buzzing that divert the attention and dials up the anxiety.”

Students also struggle with malnutrition, which affects their ability to concentrate and perform well academically. Despite the hardships, they remain hopeful. “What matters is that we give our best and leave the rest to God,” says Abu Ahmed, who was taking his final exams when a drone attack struck near him, resulting in the death of one fellow student and injuries to others.

The students of Gaza are a testament to the human spirit’s ability to persevere in the face of adversity. Their determination to continue their education, despite the horrors they face, represents hope for a better future.
