Thu Sep 26 15:00:21 UTC 2024: ## WoW Players Can Now Resurrect Deleted Characters After Two-Month Hiatus

**Blizzard has re-enabled the character restoration feature in World of Warcraft, allowing players to bring back deleted characters after a two-month hiatus.** The service was disabled during the launch of the “War Within” pre-patch in July to accommodate the new Warbands system, which required significant backend changes.

Players can now check the character selection screen to see if any of their deleted characters are eligible for restoration. While the service is free, there are some restrictions. Characters below level 10 cannot be restored, and characters below level 50 are only eligible for restoration if they were deleted within a few months. Additionally, if a character’s name has been taken since its deletion, it cannot be restored.

The re-activation of the character restoration service comes as a welcome relief to many players who have been eager to bring back old characters. With the new “Worldsoul Saga” underway, some may find this to be a perfect opportunity to resurrect a long-retired hero and rejoin the adventure.
