Fri Sep 27 16:25:07 UTC 2024: ## Daniel Ricciardo’s F1 Career Likely Ends as He’s Dropped by Red Bull

**Singapore, Singapore** – Former Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 career appears to be over after he was dropped by Red Bull’s junior team AlphaTauri following the Singapore Grand Prix. The 35-year-old Australian will be replaced by Liam Lawson for the final six races of the 2024 season.

Ricciardo, known for his popularity and crowd-pleasing antics, hasn’t been able to recapture his winning form of the past. His struggles have been evident, with former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner observing Ricciardo looking “broken” and “not in a happy place” after a disappointing qualifying session in Singapore.

Steiner, speaking on the Red Flags podcast, believes Ricciardo’s exit might be a blessing in disguise, urging the driver to step away from the sport and enjoy a well-deserved break.

“He was a very good race car driver, he won races,” Steiner stated. “He was racing against Max [Verstappen] and then decided to move on from Red Bull, which in the end was a brave decision, and worked out for a while, and then he just got the stuck in some place and couldn’t do it anymore.”

Ricciardo himself acknowledged the changing landscape of Formula 1, admitting that he can no longer keep up with the younger generation of drivers who are better equipped thanks to advancements in technology and training.

Following his departure from AlphaTauri, Ricciardo has ruled out returning to a reserve role at Red Bull, suggesting he may be ready to move on from the sport.

While the Australian driver has yet to make an official announcement, it appears as though his decorated F1 career has come to an end.
