**WASHINGTON, D.C. -** Logan Circle is set to welcome a new social hub in Spring 2025, as the team behind the award-winning Wunder Garten Beer Garden prepares to open Barrel House Cafe & Bar. The new concept will occupy the iconic former Foxtrot/Barrel House Liquors space at 1341 14th Street NW.

Inspired by world-famous European cafes, Barrel House Cafe & Bar promises a contemporary and vibrant atmosphere with a focus on creating memories and fostering friendships. “It’s more about an experience or feeling that we plan to deliver to our customers,” said a spokesperson for the team, adding that the venue will also incorporate a showcase for the performing arts.

The team, known for their nine years of experience in creating unique social scenes and events at Wunder Garten, is committed to honoring the history of the legendary building. Built in 1925 as an auto showroom, 1341 14th Street has housed various dealers including Rolls-Royce and Sammy’s Barrel House, which gave the building its distinctive concrete barrel storefront. The building survived the 1968 riots and remained home to Barrel House Liquors until 2015.

“Our mission is to create a venue that honors the history of this legendary location and create joyful memories for everyone who enters,” said the spokesperson.

Barrel House Cafe & Bar joins a vibrant 14th Street corridor that’s home to numerous restaurants, bars, and shops. With its European flair and emphasis on community, the new venue is poised to become a beloved destination in Logan Circle.
