**Yeovil, Somerset, UK -** The search for missing man Michael Wheeler, 37, from Yeovil, has tragically ended with the discovery of a body at a property in Yarlington, near Wincanton, Somerset, on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Wheeler had not been seen since August 24th, sparking a month-long search effort by Avon and Somerset Police. The discovery came shortly after four men appeared at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with his murder. They were remanded in custody until a further hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.
Mr. Wheeler’s family has been informed of the discovery and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
The investigation is ongoing, with crime scene investigators currently examining the site.
In addition to the four men charged with murder, another man arrested last week in connection to the case has been rearrested and remains in police custody. Two more men were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of assisting an offender. One is currently in custody while the other has been released under investigation.
Two other individuals, a man arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and a woman previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remain on police bail.
