Fans of the Alien franchise can soon revisit the terrifying events of “Alien: Romulus” in the comfort of their own homes. The film, directed by Fede Alvarez and set between the events of the original “Alien” and “Aliens,” will be available digitally on October 15th on platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. A special 2-Movie Collection digital bundle, pairing the film with the original “Alien,” will also be available for purchase.
The physical media release, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats, will follow on December 3rd. A special 4K steelbook edition is also expected.
“Alien: Romulus” takes the franchise back to its roots, following a group of young space colonizers who encounter a terrifying life form while scavenging a derelict space station. The film features a strong cast including Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.
The home video release will include a variety of bonus features, such as a featurette exploring the making of the film, a conversation between director Fede Alvarez and Ridley Scott, and alternate and extended scenes.
