Oklahoma City is set to become a waterpark haven with the opening of the Chickasaw Nation’s **OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark** this April. The $400 million resort boasts a 100,000 square-foot indoor waterpark with 15 slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and more. For the ultimate thrill, visitors can zipline into the “fly pool” located in the outdoor 4.5-acre adventure lagoon.
Beyond the slides and pools, OKANA offers a variety of amenities, including:
* **A sandy beach with lounge chairs and a swim-up bar**
* **Cabanas and a kid’s pool**
* **A family entertainment center with arcade games**
* **Dozens of dining options, from a modern taqueria to a barbecue smokehouse**
The resort is strategically located near the Oklahoma River and adjacent to the **First Americans Museum (FAM)**, a 175,000 square-foot museum showcasing the history of 39 First American Nations.
“OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark has been designed to complement First Americans Museum’s focus on culture as well as to connect visitors to other entertainment experiences along this established and vibrant part of the Oklahoma River,” said Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby.
**OKANA’s opening coincides with a growing waterpark industry nationwide**. The resort is now accepting reservations for stays beginning April 1, 2025, and is offering a “First Wave” booking promotion with discounts of up to 55% off through August.
