**Chennai, India** – Zoho, a global technology company headquartered in Chennai, has made its foray into the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) network with the launch of its Vikra seller app and its Zoho IoT (Internet of Things) platform. The announcement was made at the company’s annual user conference, Zoholics India.
Vikra is designed to simplify e-commerce for businesses of all sizes, offering seamless onboarding, product catalogue creation, and sales channels through platforms like Paytm, Ola, and Snapdeal. The app integrates with Zoho’s existing finance and operations tools, further streamlining business operations.
“Vikra aims to bridge the gap between businesses and India’s vast e-commerce market, empowering even the smallest sellers,” said Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, Global Head of Finance and Operations at Zoho.
The launch comes as India’s e-commerce penetration remains at just 6-7%, according to ONDC reports. This presents an opportunity for smaller businesses to leverage the ONDC network, but they often face technological hurdles and high marketplace fees.
T Koshy, MD & CEO of ONDC, welcomed Zoho’s contribution to the network, stating, “Vikra represents the kind of innovation that supports ONDC’s mission to make e-commerce accessible to all.”
Zoho also unveiled its Zoho IoT platform, a user-friendly, scalable, and low-code platform that empowers businesses to build and deploy custom IoT solutions. The platform offers pre-built solutions for various industries, including Industrial IoT, Smart Buildings, and Energy Management. Zoho IoT incorporates AI capabilities for predictive maintenance, operational optimization, and enhanced customer experiences.
Zoho’s CEO and Co-founder, Sridhar Vembu, highlighted the company’s continued focus on innovation and AI integration across its product stack. He attributed the company’s 31% customer growth in 2023 and 26% growth in 2024 to its commitment to continuous improvement and its ability to provide value-driven solutions.
India has emerged as Zoho’s second-largest market, driven by the growing demand for software solutions and the increasing focus on cost optimization among large organizations. The company’s top performing products in India include Zoho One, Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, and Zoho People, seeing significant adoption across the IT, financial services, and manufacturing sectors.
