Wed Sep 25 01:31:50 UTC 2024: ## Liberty and Aces Sweep Their Way to WNBA Semifinals

**New York, NY & Las Vegas, NV** – The New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces both secured their spots in the WNBA Semifinals with dominant first-round sweeps. The Liberty defeated the Atlanta Dream 91-82 on Tuesday, while the Aces took down the Seattle Storm 83-76 on their home court.

The Liberty, led by a stellar performance from Sabrina Ionescu (36 points, 9 assists), dominated the Dream despite a strong showing from Allisha Gray (26 points). Jonquel Jones added a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Breanna Stewart chipped in 13 points.

The Aces, meanwhile, relied on the veteran duo of A’ja Wilson (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Kelsey Plum (29 points) to overcome a resilient Storm team. Seattle’s Gabby Williams (20 points) and Nneka Ogwumike (16 points, 10 rebounds) fought hard, but the Aces’ experience proved too much to overcome.

The Liberty, the top seed in the playoffs, will now face the defending champion Aces in a rematch of last year’s WNBA Finals. This series promises to be a thrilling battle between two of the league’s best teams.

The WNBA Semifinals begin on Thursday, with both series going to a best-of-five format.
