Wed Sep 25 08:39:14 UTC 2024: ## Israeli Missile Strikes Lebanese Journalist’s Home During Live Interview

**Beirut, Lebanon:** A Lebanese journalist, Fadi Boudaya, editor-in-chief of the Miraya International Network, narrowly escaped death when an Israeli missile struck his home during a live TV interview on Tuesday. The incident, captured on live television and widely shared on social media, shows Boudaya mid-sentence when the explosion rocks his home, throwing him off-screen.

The footage, now viral, shows Boudaya visibly shaken as he attempts to continue the interview, but is clearly in distress. Despite the terrifying ordeal, Boudaya suffered only minor injuries.

“Thank God, I am fine, thanks to God and His blessings upon us, and we return to continue our media duty in support of the resistance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Boudaya wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, reassuring his followers.

The attack comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, an Iran-backed militant group. Since the Gaza war erupted last October, both sides have been involved in intense cross-border conflict, with recent hostilities escalating significantly.

The situation worsened following a cyber attack on Hezbollah members, which targeted their communication devices. Hezbollah accused Israel of orchestrating the attack.

On Monday, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon killed over 550 people, including 50 children. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video message urging Lebanese citizens to evacuate their homes, promising their safe return after the “operation” concludes.

On Tuesday, Israeli airstrikes in Beirut killed Ibrahim Qubaisi, the head of Hezbollah’s missile division. Alongside Qubaisi, at least two other high-ranking commanders were reportedly killed. The strikes, targeting the Dahiyeh suburb, followed Hezbollah’s firing of over 300 rockets at northern Israeli cities.

The attack on Boudaya’s home highlights the escalating violence and danger faced by civilians caught in the crossfire. It also underscores the increasingly volatile situation in the region, raising concerns about the potential for further escalation and civilian casualties.
