**UNITED NATIONS** – The United Nations concluded its two-day Summit of the Future on Monday, adopting a comprehensive 42-page “Pact of the Future” aimed at addressing pressing global challenges. The pact acknowledges the world is facing unprecedented risks, many stemming from human choices, and calls for a renewed commitment to multilateralism.

The Summit, described as a “once-in-a-generation opportunity,” aimed to reimagine the international system to better address present and future challenges. UN Secretary-General António Guterres stressed the need for reform, stating that current institutions are ill-equipped to handle the complexities of the 21st century.
