Wed Sep 25 09:11:50 UTC 2024: ## Connacht Aim to Avoid Repeat of Limerick Disappointment

Connacht Rugby coach Pete Wilkins has expressed his determination to avoid a repeat of last week’s surprise defeat in Limerick, stating that a similar result this weekend would be “disastrous” for their future plans. While Connacht ultimately lost to Munster, they showed resilience, leading four times and securing two bonus points. However, Wilkins emphasized that these positives will be meaningless if they succumb to another upset at home this weekend.

“This is the one that really interests me and the one that really excites me,” Wilkins said. “It won’t have been unexpected to us that what happened in Limerick could happen again. But we don’t want to be surprised. A repeat of that result would not only unravel all the work we’ve put in, but it could threaten our long-term goals.”

Connacht will be looking to bounce back this weekend, aiming to secure a victory and maintain their positive momentum heading into the future.
