**Atlanta, GA** – Get ready to witness Storm like never before as she soars to new heights in a thrilling new ongoing series. Launching next week, “Storm” will see Ororo Munroe take center stage as Earth’s Mightiest Mutant, protecting the planet from high-level threats from her new headquarters, the Storm Sanctuary in Atlanta.
This new era for the iconic hero will see her embrace her full potential as an Omega-Level powerhouse. To mark the occasion, she’s also getting a brand new, show-stopping costume. In addition to her main costume, fans can look forward to a reimagined version of her classic silver suit, making its debut in issue #2.
The series, written by Murewa Ayodele and illustrated by Lucas Werneck, kicks off with Storm facing a potential nuclear meltdown. From there, she’ll face even greater challenges, drawing the attention (and admiration) of cosmic forces like Oblivion, as well as formidable villains like Doctor Doom.
To match her escalating adventures, Storm will sport a diverse wardrobe, including armors, cosmically-charged suits, and stylish out-of-costume attire fit for a goddess.
“Fashion is always one of the many tools that I reach for when looking for inspiration,” explains Werneck. “You can tell so much about a character through their clothes, and this kind of visual narrative is something that I love.”
He continues, “I’m really trying to give her a sense of style. I imagine her having this kind of goddess aura, but she also has so much humanity in her, so the challenge here is to translate all the aspects that define her in the way she dresses, moves, talks – the way that she lives.”
