**SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 25 (KNB):** The District Administration of Srinagar has strongly refuted a news story circulating on social media claiming the distribution of money to voters in the Ranbirgarh and Zainakote areas. The administration labeled the story as “fake and baseless.”
An official statement revealed that the District Administration had requested a factual report from the MCC monitoring Flying Squad team, which concluded that no suspicious activity was found. The rumors of MCC violations were therefore deemed unfounded.
The administration asserted its commitment to ensuring free, fair, and accessible elections. It further warned that those attempting to spread baseless rumors and propaganda will face appropriate action.
The Srinagar Police have been directed to take notice of the situation and file an FIR against those responsible for spreading these false claims.
