**Liverpool, UK** – The Jewish Labour Movement (JLM) held a rally at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool this week, bringing together members and supporters of the party. Solicitor General and Finchley and Golders Green MP Sarah Sackman addressed the rally, emphasizing the vital role young Jewish Labour members play in the future of the movement.

Sackman acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the younger generation in combating antisemitism within the party. She encouraged them to remain engaged and continue contributing to the party’s goals, stating that “You helped us win the trust of voters in places like Finchley and Golders Green to have the privilege of government.”

The rally also featured speeches from JLM national chair Mike Katz, who expressed solidarity with the families of hostages held in Gaza, and Yair Golan, opposition leader in Israel of the newly named Democrats grouping. Golan traveled to the conference to learn how to win elections and vowed to fight for a more liberal Israel.

Baroness Anderson drew cheers as she reminded the audience that the Labour Party is now in government, while JLM national secretary Miriam Mirwitch recalled the challenges faced during the antisemitism crisis, but expressed pride in the party’s progress.

The event highlighted the JLM’s role within the Labour Party and its commitment to tackling issues such as antisemitism and promoting a more inclusive and representative society.
