Wed Sep 25 07:36:48 UTC 2024: ## Russian and Laotian Forces Conduct Joint Military Exercise in Primorsky Region
**VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIA -** Russian and Laotian servicemen have begun preparations for the second phase of the “Laros 2024” joint military exercise, taking place at the Sergeyevsky training ground in Primorsky region.
The exercise, scheduled for September 26th, will see joint forces from the Eastern Military District and the Lao People’s Army engaging in a variety of tactical maneuvers. These include pursuing, blocking, and neutralizing simulated enemy forces, as well as carrying out air strikes to destroy personnel and military hardware.
The drills will involve a range of military units, including special forces, tank and infantry combat vehicles, flamethrowers, artillery and Igla MANPADS crews, and aircraft from the Russian Aerospace Forces. Tactical airborne troops from both Russia and Laos will also participate, forming joint assault groups.
The exercise is expected to further strengthen military cooperation and interoperability between Russia and Laos.
