**JAMMU:** Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, the BJP’s election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir, launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, dismissing his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reddy asserted that Modi’s confidence is rooted in the support of 1.4 billion Indians and the global community.
Responding to Gandhi’s remarks that the INDIA bloc had “broken Modi’s psychology,” Reddy challenged Gandhi to seek the views of farmers, soldiers, scientists, youth and women to understand the PM’s strength. He also claimed that terrorists, separatists, corrupt individuals, Pakistan, and anti-national forces would be the ones to truly understand Modi’s character.
Reddy further accused Gandhi and the Congress of promoting hate campaigns and division along caste, religious, and regional lines. He attributed the Congress and the National Conference with fostering terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and credited the BJP’s policies with curbing it.
He asserted that the BJP has significantly reduced terrorism in the region and that instances of violence and casualties among security forces and civilians have declined under the BJP’s governance. Reddy highlighted the BJP’s electoral success, stating that even the combined number of seats won by the Congress in the past three Lok Sabha elections does not reach the BJP’s 2024 general election tally.
Reddy also commented on the upcoming Prime Minister Modi’s rally in Jammu on September 28, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to the region’s development.
The BJP leader’s comments further escalate the political tension between the BJP and the Congress, highlighting the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
