**Jammu:** Police in Jammu have successfully apprehended a thief and recovered stolen items worth lakhs from his possession.
On September 23rd, 2024, a complaint was filed at Gharota police station regarding the theft of a laptop and accessories from a resident’s house. An investigation was launched, and through CCTV footage and technical analysis, a suspect named Sahil Kumar was identified.
Sahil was taken into custody and confessed to the theft during questioning. The stolen laptop and accessories were recovered from his residence. Further interrogation revealed that Sahil had also stolen several mobile phones from various locations. The police team subsequently recovered eight mobile phones.
The investigation is ongoing, and further recoveries are expected.
In separate incidents, a scooty was stolen from Moti Bazaar and a bullet motorcycle was stolen from Talli Morh area.
