Wed Sep 25 02:47:48 UTC 2024: ## Nothing Unveils Open-Ear Wireless Earbuds: The Nothing Ear (open)

**Manila, Philippines – September 25, 2024** – Nothing has just launched their first open-ear wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (open), offering a unique semi-transparent design with wraparound ear hooks. The earbuds prioritize a balance between design and functionality, with speakers resting outside the ears and a three-point balance system for secure fit.

The Nothing Ear (open) features a new sound seal system with directional speakers to prevent sound leakage. While designed for comfort, the earbuds lack Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

Under the hood, these buds boast 14.2mm titanium-coated audio drivers and connect via Bluetooth 5.3, supporting dual-device pairing. Each earbud houses dual microphones with Clear Voice 3.0 for enhanced call quality.

Users can control media playback, adjust volume, and manage calls via pinch controls. Each earbud weighs 8.1 grams and both the buds and case have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The Nothing Ear (open) is compatible with the Nothing X app for customization of gesture controls, EQ profiles, and firmware updates. The earbuds also feature Find My support, a low latency mode for gaming, and ChatGPT integration (requiring a Nothing phone).

Each bud packs a 64mAh battery offering 8 hours of playback, while the 635mAh case extends that to 30 hours. Charging is via USB Type-C.

The Nothing Ear (open) is available in a single White colorway and retails for USD 149 (~PHP 8.3K). Pre-orders have started today with open sales beginning October 1st, 2024. YugaTech will provide updates on the availability of the earbuds in the Philippines.
