Wed Sep 25 02:45:29 UTC 2024: ## Milwaukee Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run, Sister Seriously Injured

**Milwaukee, WI** – A shocking video captured the moment a speeding driver fatally struck two sisters crossing the street on Saturday night, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

The crash occurred on 76th Street near Good Hope Road, where 20-year-old Talise Dunmore and her 23-year-old sister, De-Lisha Dunmore, were crossing the street. Surveillance footage from a nearby business shows the driver, operating a white Acura, exceeding the posted speed limit by double, reaching 80 miles per hour, before striking the sisters. Talise Dunmore was thrown 50 to 75 feet and pronounced dead at the scene. De-Lisha Dunmore sustained broken bones and is recovering at home.

The incident has left the community stunned, particularly Dr. Jennifer Potts, who taught Talise Dunmore at the Center Street Nail Technology Academy. “It really doesn’t even look real,” said Potts, describing the video footage. “It’s just unreal to see this.”

Potts highlighted Talise Dunmore’s determination to succeed, paying for her own education earlier this year and working as a licensed nail technician with dreams of owning her own salon. “Her future was bright and it was just taken away from her,” she said.

Police have apprehended the driver, a 34-year-old man, and are currently awaiting charges. The vehicle exhibited clear signs of the impact, with a dented hood and hair and biological matter clinging to the bumper.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with De-Lisha Dunmore’s medical expenses and to honor Talise Dunmore’s memory.
