**Kumasi, Ashanti Region:** A legal battle is brewing in Kumasi over the alleged illegal transfer of over 1,000 votes into the Manhyia South Constituency. The Prempeh Assembly Hall Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Worship Debora Gyaawa, will adjudicate on the matter following complaints filed by the Parliament Candidate for the constituency, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah.

Lawyer Baffour Awuah, citing electoral regulations, argues that the transfers are invalid as the individuals involved do not reside in the Manhyia South constituency. He is seeking to have the transfers annulled.

On Friday, September 20, landlords of properties where the over 1,000 voters claim to live appeared in court and categorically denied that the individuals resided at the properties.
