Jennifer Sterger, a former Jets host who accused Brett Favre of sending inappropriate texts during his 2008 season with the team, has responded to the quarterback’s recent Parkinson’s disease diagnosis with a scathing social media post.
Sterger, who has been a vocal critic of Favre’s alleged involvement in a Mississippi welfare scandal, took to Instagram to express her thoughts on the news. “I don’t wish bad things on anyone, but I know Karma never forgets an address,” she wrote. “Imagine being diagnosed with such a terrible disease and not having the resources to fight it because some Hall-of-Fame quarterback stole it?”
Sterger went on to suggest that those who are truly in need of support are those affected by Favre’s alleged misuse of welfare funds, not the quarterback himself. She concluded her post by saying, “Mississippi you deserve better.”
Favre, who is currently facing scrutiny for his role in the welfare scandal, revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis during a congressional hearing on Tuesday. He stated that he had invested in a company developing a concussion drug, but that the investment had failed. “I’m sure you’ll understand, while it’s too late for me because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, this is also a cause dear to my heart,” Favre said.
Sterger’s latest comments mark a continuation of her public criticism of Favre, whom she has repeatedly accused of inappropriate behavior. This is not the first time she has publicly reacted to the news surrounding the welfare scandal, previously posting on X, “Oh.. NOWWWWW he gets in trouble for inappropriate texts.”
While Favre’s diagnosis has elicited sympathy from some, Sterger’s response highlights the ongoing tension between the two parties and the unresolved accusations that have plagued Favre’s career.
