**INDIANAPOLIS** – Richard Goodall, the Terre Haute school custodian known as the “Singing Janitor,” has been crowned the champion of America’s Got Talent Season 19, winning the coveted $1 million prize.

Goodall, who gained viral fame after his school talent show performance was shared on TikTok, wowed judges and viewers throughout the competition with his powerful vocals. He performed a rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” for his audition, earning a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum.

During Tuesday’s finale, Goodall returned to his roots, singing “Don’t Stop Believin'” alongside Journey guitarist Neal Schon and members of the band. Schon praised Goodall’s talent, stating that the group had been following his progress on the show while on tour.

“Winning ‘AGT’ is important and means so much to me,” Goodall said after the show. “Simon said two minutes can change your life. It has transformed mine, and I’d like to help others, one song at a time.”

Goodall’s journey to victory also included a whirlwind week in Los Angeles, where he performed in the finals, married his fiancée, Angie Vanoven, and saw his performance of Journey’s “Faithfully” go viral, garnering nearly 2.5 million views on the America’s Got Talent YouTube page.

His impressive vocal range was showcased throughout the season as he belted out songs like Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You?” and Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.”

With his victory, Goodall joins the ranks of other talented acts who have won America’s Got Talent, proving that dreams can come true, no matter your background or current profession.
