Thu Sep 26 17:54:11 UTC 2024: ## Coldplay Ticket Resale Chaos Sparks Abu Dhabi Travel Surge for Indian Fans

Coldplay’s highly anticipated Mumbai concert in January 2025 has been met with disappointment for many Indian fans, as tickets sold out within minutes despite an additional show being added. This frenzy has fueled a surge in interest among Indian fans to attend the band’s Abu Dhabi concert instead, where tickets are significantly cheaper.

The Mumbai concert saw scalpers and resellers snatch up a large number of tickets, driving prices on platforms like Viagogo as high as Rs 3.65 lakh. This has sparked frustration among fans who are unable to attend the Mumbai show without paying exorbitant prices.

As an alternative, fans are now looking towards the Abu Dhabi concert scheduled for January 11, 2025. Tickets for this concert are priced starting at AED 195 (Rs 4,440 approximately). Pre-sale tickets have already been sold out, and the general sale is set to begin on September 27 at 1:30 PM IST.

Travelling to Abu Dhabi from India appears to be a more viable option for many fans than paying exorbitant resale prices. Round-trip flight tickets from Delhi to Abu Dhabi in January 2025 are estimated to cost around Rs 22,000 for economy class. Indian citizens holding a valid US visa, UK visa, or EU residence permit are eligible for a visa on arrival in Abu Dhabi, while others can opt for an Express UAE visa. Accommodation costs vary depending on the hotel chosen, with three-star hotels near the concert venue priced between Rs 15,000-17,000 per night for two adults.

While fans are eager to see Coldplay live, they need to carefully consider the additional expenses involved in travelling to Abu Dhabi, including transportation, food, and sightseeing.
