**New Delhi, India:** Meghalaya’s Speaker, Thomas A. Sangma, and Deputy Speaker Timothy D. Shira, participated in the 10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference held at Lok Sabha in New Delhi on September 24th. The conference focused on the theme “The Role of Legislative Bodies in the Attainment of Sustainable and Inclusive Development.”
Speaking about his participation, Speaker Sangma highlighted this as his third attendance at the CPA conference. He emphasized the importance of such gatherings, stating that they offer invaluable insights into legislative practices and procedures. He further expressed that the conference has significantly broadened his understanding and expertise, making him better equipped to manage the affairs of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
