Wed Sep 25 06:55:14 UTC 2024: ## Harris’ Economic Plan Remains Under Wraps, Coons Says Voters Will Get Details This Week

**WASHINGTON, D.C.** – Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) defended Vice President Kamala Harris’ lack of specifics on her economic platform for the 2024 presidential race, arguing that she has outlined a “broad vision” and will be releasing more details this week.

On Tuesday’s “Squawk Box” on CNBC, Coons responded to questions regarding the lack of detailed economic plans from Harris. He emphasized that Harris’ economic agenda will largely mirror President Biden’s, with some key differences.

“She’s laid out a broad vision for what are her priorities,” Coons stated. “The first thing she came out with in terms of an economic policy was a proposal for a capital gains rate increase that was lower than what President Biden had been looking for.”

Coons went on to highlight Harris’ focus on policies aimed at increasing affordable housing, strengthening the middle class, and collaborating with the private sector.

When pressed by co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin about whether voters deserved more specific details on Harris’ economic plan, Coons said, “She’s going to keep a lot of the same policies and agendas” from President Biden. He highlighted that voters need to consider the “chaos” of the former president versus the “stability” of Harris’ approach.

Coons concluded that both Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will be providing more detailed information on their economic platform later this week.
