**New Delhi, India** – Samsung is set to launch its Galaxy A16 5G smartphone in India and Thailand, with the phone offering two chipset options: the Exynos 1330 and the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+.

The MediaTek variant, identified by model number SM-A166P/DS, was recently spotted on Samsung India’s support webpage, confirming its launch in the country. This model has also been certified by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in Thailand, signifying its availability in that market as well.

The Galaxy A16 5G boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity U display with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of peak brightness. It will come with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot.

This entry-level phone is expected to be the first in its category to offer six major Android OS updates and six years of security patches. It will run One UI 6.1.1 software out of the box.

Other features include a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, a triple rear camera system, a front-facing camera, a USB Type-C port, IP54 dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 5G connectivity, dual-SIM card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.

The Galaxy A16 5G is expected to weigh 200g and measure 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9mm. It will be available in three color variants: Blue Black, Gold, and Light Green.

The exact release date for the Galaxy A16 5G is yet to be confirmed, but Samsung is expected to announce it in the coming weeks.
