Former Trump White House official Alyssa Farah Griffin has sharply criticized former President Donald Trump’s recent message to women, calling it “creepy” and “infantilizing”. During a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday, Trump proclaimed himself as “your protector” and stated that women would be “happy, healthy, confident, and free” under his leadership. He also claimed that women would no longer be “thinking about abortion.”

Griffin, appearing on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, expressed her disbelief at Trump’s message, saying it “underscores a fundamental lack of understanding for why a demographic that represents half of the country is one that he is struggling so profoundly with.” She also criticized Trump’s assumption that women are primarily concerned with abortion, arguing that issues like economics and national security are equally important to women.

Griffin, who served as Director of Strategic Communications in the Trump administration, concluded that Trump’s approach to women is ineffective and alienating. She believes that the lack of a female on the ticket who can connect with women on their concerns is a significant weakness in Trump’s campaign.
