**LONDON** – Federation Stories U.K. has announced the appointment of Beth Warin as their new Head of Development. Warin, formerly a drama commissioning executive at the BBC, will be working alongside Managing Director Polly Williams and will oversee the company’s international drama production slate.
Warin brings a wealth of experience from her time at the BBC, where she worked on projects like “Lockerbie” and “The Night Manager” Season 2. Federation Stories, known for their recent production of “I, Jack Wright,” is actively developing projects with broadcasters across the U.K., U.S. and Europe.
The company, established three years ago as the U.K. branch of European production studio Federation Studios, is a joint venture of former eOne executives Arielle Gottlieb and Polly Williams. Gottlieb departed the company earlier this year.
Federation Studios, headquartered in France, boasts a global presence with production branches in Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, Rome and Berlin. The company is known for hits like “The Bureau” and “In Treatment”.
**Meanwhile, ITV Studios has announced a flurry of sales activity in North and South America.** AMC Networks’ Sundance Now acquired “Fifteen-Love” for the U.S. and Canada, while SRC secured French Canadian rights. Acorn TV acquired U.S. premiere rights for “Maternal” and second-window Canadian rights. BritBox acquired “A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story” and “Until I Kill You” for the U.S. and Canada. PBS Distribution extended rights for “Endeavour,” “Victoria,” and “Poldark.” Janus Films and Criterion Collection renewed rights to 94 classic titles. Finally, MHZ Choice acquired “Blackwater,” “A French Village,” “Piste Noire,” “Petra” Season 2, and “Carlo and Malik”, and Brazil’s Globo purchased “I Kissed A Boy,” “I Kissed A Girl,” “An Audience with Kylie Minogue,” and “Ready to Mingle”.
**In other news, Italian sales company True Colours has appointed Elliot Gustin-Hollman as its Managing Director.** Gustin-Hollman, previously with Newen Connect, will oversee the expansion of True Colours’ reach beyond cinema into television.
