**Paris, France** – Luxury leather goods brand Delvaux has partnered with E Ink, the leading ePaper technology company, to create a limited-edition capsule collection called “Helios.” This innovative collection, which will debut at Paris Fashion Week, features four leather designs incorporating E Ink’s color-changing Prism film.
The collaboration, two years in the making, began at CES in Las Vegas where Delvaux was captivated by E Ink’s ability to transform surfaces with the touch of a button. The technology, which powers e-readers like the Kindle, has evolved to include color capabilities, opening up exciting possibilities for the luxury goods industry.
Delvaux CEO Jean-Marc Loubier describes the project as a marriage of “extreme tradition with extreme innovation.” The brand, known for its heritage and craftsmanship, has reinterpreted its classic designs, such as Le Caprice and Le Pin, by seamlessly weaving E Ink’s Prism film into the leather.
The collection highlights the meticulous attention to detail required to integrate the delicate ePaper technology into Delvaux’s signature leatherwork. Models like the “Pixel” feature three large ePaper panels interwoven with leather strips, while the “Psyché” maintains its circular aesthetic despite the material’s fragility.
Tim O’Malley, associate vice president of the U.S. business unit at E Ink, emphasizes the partnership’s commitment to both tradition and innovation. “The resulting designs highlight how innovative materials like E Ink Prism can be seamlessly woven into a traditional material, honoring both history and the future,” he says.
The Helios collection, available in only 100 pieces, will be sold in select stores. While pricing has not been revealed, the collaboration is poised to attract attention for its unique blend of luxury craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology.
