**Hangzhou, China** – Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Malaysia’s Transport Minister, is attending the 3rd Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou, China. The expo, which began on Wednesday, September 25th, is organized by the Zhejiang Hangzhou Municipal Government and the China International Trade Association.
Dr Wee, accompanied by Melaka Chief Minister’s investment advisor and Klebang state assemblyman, Datuk Wira Lim Ban Hong, attended the opening ceremony. He highlighted the event’s significant attention from the Chinese government, particularly the Zhejiang provincial government, and its global focus.
The four-day expo features leading enterprises from 32 countries and regions, showcasing innovative applications in digital trade, including artificial intelligence, smart robotics, and low-altitude economy. The latter refers to an economic model driven by low-altitude aviation, such as unmanned aircraft.
Dr Wee will deliver a keynote address at the International Cooperation Forum on Digital Economy during the expo. The event is attended by high-profile figures, including China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and representatives from the United Nations and World Trade Organisation.
