The children of the late Kim Porter, including Christian “King” Combs, D’Lila Combs, Jessie Combs, and Quincy Brown, have publicly denounced a purported memoir claiming to be written by their mother. The children, in a joint Instagram statement, declared that the book, titled “KIM’S LOST WORDS: A journey for justice, from the other side…,” is “simply untrue.”
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue,” the statement reads. “She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
The family’s statement comes after the 59-page self-published book, which details Porter’s alleged tumultuous relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs before her death in 2018, gained traction following Combs’ arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges.
The book’s numerous inaccuracies and salacious allegations have sparked widespread online speculation and misinformation. However, Porter’s family and friends have vehemently denied its authenticity, labeling it “fabricated bullshit and offensive pages.”
Al B. Sure!, Porter’s ex-partner and father to Quincy Brown, has vowed legal action against those involved in the book’s publication, stating a “significant suit” is underway.
The book’s author, Chris Todd, claims to be a producer, author, and investigative journalist, and has been involved in other high-profile murder investigations. However, when pressed for details about the source of the memoir’s content, he declined to provide specifics, fueling further doubt about its validity.
Amidst the controversy, Porter’s children have emphasized their desire to protect their mother’s memory, urging the public to “respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace.”
The family has also reiterated that Porter’s death was due to lobar pneumonia and that there was no foul play. They implore everyone to respect their privacy and allow them to grieve peacefully.
