**Denver, CO** – The Colorado Rockies suffered a 7-3 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday night at Coors Field, despite a valiant effort from veteran outfielder Charlie Blackmon.

Blackmon, who announced his retirement earlier this week, put on a show, hitting an RBI triple in the fifth inning and a double in the eighth. The triple was his team-leading fifth of the season and the 68th of his career, a franchise record.

However, the Rockies’ late-inning woes resurfaced, as the Cardinals scored four runs in the eighth inning to break open a tight game.
