**KAZAN, RUSSIA -** Over 300 experts, scholars, and young representatives from the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) convened in Kazan on Tuesday for the BRICS Civilization Dialogue. The event, themed “Gathering the Power of Cultural Exchange to Build a Better Future for BRICS,” aimed to enhance understanding and strengthen cultural ties between the member states.

Organized by the Information Office of the State Council of China, the government of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Chinese Consulate General in Kazan, the dialogue emphasized the crucial role of cultural exchange and mutual learning in driving global progress and peaceful development.

“This dialogue on civilization can mobilize more BRICS citizens to become messengers of civilization dialogue,” said the organizers, who also expressed their hope for deeper cultural exchanges through the “BRICS+ cooperation” platform.

Leyla Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, highlighted the growing foundation of cultural exchange and cooperation among BRICS countries. “We hope that after the expansion, BRICS countries will continue to hold high the banner of civilization dialogue, enriching the content of exchanges, building a cooperation network, and jointly promoting the beautiful vision of BRICS+ in the new era of cultural exchange into a reality,” she stated.

The event featured a vibrant cultural display, including performances by artists from China and Russia showcasing their unique traditions. Exhibitions on the lives of BRICS countries, traditional Chinese paintings, and Jingdezhen porcelain painting skills also captivated the audience.

The BRICS Civilization Dialogue serves as a significant step in fostering closer cultural understanding and cooperation between the emerging economic powers, promoting the shared vision of a community with a shared future for mankind.
