**PITTSBURGH, PA** – Willy Adames achieved a significant milestone on Tuesday night as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2. Adames became the first Brewer to reach the 30-20 club this season, recording his 32nd home run and 20th stolen base.
Adames’ stolen base in the second inning sparked a three-run rally for the Brewers, with Sal Frelick and Joey Ortiz also contributing RBI hits. The Pirates answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, but the Brewers ultimately pulled away with a strong pitching performance.
Hoby Milner picked up the win in relief of starter Tobias Myers, who pitched four innings. Adames also added a double in the fourth inning, scoring on a groundout by Ortiz. The Brewers added another run in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Frelick.
Jackson Chourio, the 20-year-old Brewers rookie, also joined Adames in the 20-20 club with 21 home runs and 21 stolen bases. This marks the first time in Brewers history that two teammates have achieved this milestone in the same season.
The Pirates were unable to overcome a sluggish offensive performance, with Bailey Falter giving up four runs in five innings. The Brewers look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
