Wed Sep 25 20:30:11 UTC 2024: ## Barcelona Dominate Getafe in Dominant Display
**Barcelona continued their winning start to the La Liga season with a comfortable 1-0 victory over Getafe at the Estadio Olimpico Luis Companys.**
Robert Lewandowski’s goal in the first half proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Barcelona extended their lead at the top of the table to four points.
The Blaugrana, under new manager Hansi Flick, have now won all seven of their league matches, while Getafe remain winless after six games.
Barcelona dominated possession and created numerous chances throughout the game, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha proving to be particularly dangerous.
Getafe, meanwhile, struggled to create clear-cut opportunities and were unable to break down Barcelona’s solid defense.
The game was a relatively calm affair, with only a few yellow cards issued. Barcelona’s Inaki Pena, making his first start in place of the injured Marc-Andre ter Stegen, made a few key saves to preserve the clean sheet.
The result means Barcelona have now won their last seven matches against Getafe in La Liga, including five clean sheets in their last five.
Getafe manager Bordalás admitted after the match that his side is struggling to find their form, with a lack of goals being a particular concern.
“We made a big change. Twelve players left us, eight new ones have come in and they haven’t fit in,” he said. “We don’t have a punch and we are failing. Anyway, we have drawn four games and we could have won at least two. What we lack is goals.”
Barcelona will now look to continue their winning streak when they face Real Sociedad next weekend, while Getafe will be hoping to finally register a win against struggling Elche.
