**Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia** – Malaysian motorcycle enthusiasts can look forward to a new adventure scooter hitting the market next year. SYM, under the MForce Bike Holdings umbrella, has announced the upcoming release of the 2025 Husky ADV 300.
The new model, unveiled at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMA 2024), will directly compete with the popular Honda ADV 350 in the Malaysian market.
Built on the foundation of the SYM Joyride 300 scooter, the Husky ADV 300 adopts a bold “adventure” design, a popular style in the Malaysian scooter market. The design echoes that of the SYM Husky 150, already available locally.
As the name suggests, the Husky ADV 300 boasts a larger engine. Its single-cylinder, SOHC, liquid-cooled 278cc engine, paired with a CVT gearbox and Euro 5 certification, delivers 25.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 26 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
In comparison, the Honda ADV 350 offers 28.9 hp and 31.9 Nm of torque from its 350cc engine.
The Husky ADV 300 features asymmetric wheel sizing with a 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, sporting 120/70 and 140/70 tires respectively. Suspension consists of telescopic forks upfront and twin shock absorbers at the rear, adjustable for spring preload.
Braking is handled by single hydraulic discs on both the front and rear wheels, assisted by two-channel ABS and traction control as standard equipment.
Further enhancing the riding experience are features such as a 7-inch TFT-LCD instrument panel, USB-A and USB-C charging sockets, smart key functionality, and an LED projector headlight. The fuel tank holds 16 liters, and the windshield is manually adjustable for height.
The SYM Husky ADV 300 is expected to arrive in Malaysia sometime next year, further expanding the adventure scooter segment in the country.
