General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) has issued a recall for 636 of its 2023 Chevrolet Silverado models due to a potential software fault in the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). The issue could prevent the brake fluid warning light from illuminating, even when fluid levels are low, leaving drivers unaware of a critical safety risk.
The recall notice states that the software glitch may cause a reduction in braking performance, increasing the risk of an accident and potential injury or fatality.
