**Chesapeake, VA** – A photographer hired to take school pictures at Chittum Elementary School in Chesapeake, Virginia, has been fired after making inappropriate comments to students. The photographer, whose identity has not been released, was employed by Lifetouch, a national photography service.

According to parent Rachel Fjeld, the photographer asked her son, “Can I steal your identity?” and “Can I eat your soul?” during his picture session. When her son responded that she could eat noodles, the photographer allegedly said, “Demons don’t eat noodles.”

Fjeld reported the incident to the school, who immediately escorted the photographer off campus and notified parents. The school praised their students for reporting the incident, highlighting their “see something, say something” policy.

In a statement to WTKR, a spokesperson for Lifetouch said the photographer is no longer employed by the company and an internal investigation is underway. “At Lifetouch, our number one priority is the safety of every student we photograph,” the company said. “We take any allegation about a photographer very seriously, and are conducting a thorough internal investigation.”

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of students during school picture days. Parents are urged to be vigilant and report any inappropriate behavior by photographers to school administration.
