Mon Sep 23 15:15:18 UTC 2024: ## Spanberger to Speak at Beyer’s Women’s Conference in Arlington

**ARLINGTON, VA** – U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), a candidate for the 2025 Virginia gubernatorial race, will deliver the keynote address at Rep. Don Beyer’s (D-VA) eighth annual Women’s Conference this Thursday, September 26. The conference, titled “The Time is Now,” will focus on issues impacting women and how to achieve an equal future.

Spanberger, who represents Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, is the only declared Democratic candidate for governor. She is currently running against potential Republican opponents, including Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears and Attorney General Jason Miyares.

The conference, taking place at George Mason University’s Virginia Square campus, will feature a conversation between Spanberger and Beyer on “how we can all do our part to secure an equal future where women can realize their full potential,” according to Beyer’s press release.

Spanberger has identified key campaign issues including legalizing marijuana, codifying abortion rights in the state constitution, and removing Confederate names from schools. Her campaign has raised over $7 million as of June 30th and has garnered endorsements from prominent Virginia Democrats, including former Governor Ralph Northam.

Admission to the event is free, but limited seating is available. The event will take place from 7-9 PM EDT at 3351 Fairfax Drive in Arlington.
