**Los Angeles, CA** – NFL superstar Travis Kelce is making his foray into acting with a role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series “Grotesquerie.” Murphy revealed that Kelce’s role was specifically written for him, born out of a conversation where Kelce expressed his interest in acting.

“He said he was interested in getting into acting…it ended with me saying, ‘Okay, well, I’ll keep you in mind, and maybe we’ll come up with something.’ And he said, ‘No, I want to do it now. I have three months now, and I really would love to have anything,'” Murphy recounted during a recent press conference.

Impressed by Kelce’s dedication and commitment to the craft, Murphy praised the athlete’s work ethic, stating “He really was amazing. He worked with an acting coach for several months. He showed up off book. He knew everybody’s lines. He was so professional. He was so committed. He kept saying to me, ‘I’m real coachable. Coach me, coach me.’”

“Grotesquerie” follows Detective Lois Tryon as she investigates a series of heinous crimes in a small community, struggling to connect the dots while battling personal demons. She seeks help from Sister Megan, a journalist and nun with a complicated past, but their investigation only leads to more unsettling questions.

The series, created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken, will be directed by Murphy alongside Max Winkler, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Elegance Bratton. The show is set to premiere on FX, with Kelce’s performance expected to be a highlight.
