Mon Sep 23 22:40:59 UTC 2024: ## Michigan Teen Breaks Records with Giant Feet and Hands, Finds Inspiration in Overcoming Challenges

**GOODRICH, MICHIGAN** – Eric Kilburn Jr., a 16-year-old football player at Goodrich High School, has officially earned a spot in the Guinness World Records book – not once, but twice. The towering teen boasts the largest feet and largest hands of any living teenager, earning him a place in the 2025 edition.

Kilburn’s size 23 feet, measuring 13½ inches, are a far cry from the average teen’s shoe size. His hands, spanning 9.13 inches, also dwarf the norm. While initially finding it amusing to spark conversations with his unique physique, Kilburn faced real-life challenges.

Unable to find shoes in stores since fifth grade, he resorted to wearing Crocs for two years, even through Michigan winters. The lack of proper footwear led to painful calluses, blisters, and ingrown toenails, ultimately preventing him from playing football due to a high ankle sprain.

However, Kilburn’s story caught the attention of shoemakers like Under Armour and Reebok, inspired by NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal. They stepped up to provide him with custom-made shoes, a gesture that deeply touched the young athlete.

“It was pretty cool to see how many people genuinely care about helping others,” Kilburn shared.

This experience sparked a desire in him to pay it forward. Inspired by his mother, he is now involved in the Big Shoe Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals who struggle to find clothes and shoes in their size.

“I want to help people the same way I was helped when I needed it,” he explained.

Kilburn’s journey serves as a beacon of positivity, encouraging others to embrace their differences. He emphasizes, “It’s okay to stand out. Don’t let negativity distract you from your goals.”

Despite the records being an unexpected achievement, Kilburn is grateful for the recognition. He humbly admits, “Being in the Guinness World Records book still feels surreal. To have gone from reading the books to being inside the 2025 book is something I never would have imagined was even possible.”

This experience, he says, is “something that I am so grateful for. It really couldn’t be any better, in my eyes.”
