Wed Sep 25 16:55:34 UTC 2024: ## Former Minister Eshwarappa Calls for Respect for High Court Ruling on MUDA Case
**Shivamogga, September 25, 2024:** Former Karnataka Minister K.S. Eshwarappa on Wednesday called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to respect the High Court’s verdict upholding the Governor’s approval for an investigation against him in the MUDA case.
In a press conference in Shivamogga, Eshwarappa stated that while Siddaramaiah has the right to appeal the decision, he should still respect the judgment. He emphasized that he had resigned as Minister after the case was filed against him, demonstrating his commitment to the legal process.
Eshwarappa expressed concern for Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi, who is a beneficiary in the MUDA case. He stated that he would pray for her well-being, asserting her innocence and suggesting that she might have signed documents without fully understanding the consequences.
Responding to a question about a recent meeting with BJP leaders Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Ramesh Jarkiholi, Eshwarappa dismissed any speculation, calling it simply a social gathering with friends. He declined to disclose the details of their discussions.
Eshwarappa, who was expelled from the BJP earlier this year, contested the Shivamogga Lok Sabha seat as an Independent candidate and lost. He remains a vocal critic of the current government.
