Chicago’s Riot Fest continued its eclectic celebration of music on Saturday, September 21st, with a diverse lineup that showcased both established acts and local talent.
Local heroes Beach Bunny brought their infectious pop-rock anthems to the stage, while a reunited Verböten, featuring members of Verbow and Split Single, proved their enduring punk spirit. Meanwhile, a young Chicago rapper, Dat_Boy_Zach, demonstrated the city’s vibrant hip hop scene.
The day’s highlights included a captivating set by St. Vincent, who mesmerized the audience with her intricate guitar work and unique stage presence. Pavement delivered a nostalgic yet energetic performance, reminding fans of their 90s glory days. Beck, returning to the festival after a six-year absence, brought a high-energy set featuring hits from his iconic “Odelay” album and newer favorites.
Other standout performances included Manchester Orchestra’s full performance of their album “Cope,” The Hives’ energetic garage rock show, and Spoon’s powerful set on the AAA stage.
