Get ready for another summer of screams! **Freddie Prinze Jr. is officially back as Ray Bronson** in the upcoming reboot of the classic horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” Sony Pictures announced today.

Prinze Jr. will reprise his role from the 1997 original and its 1998 sequel, joining a cast that includes newcomers Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Haur-King.

While the plot details for the reboot remain under wraps, the film promises to deliver more chills and thrills as a new group of friends are tormented by a mysterious figure, much like the original.

**Jennifer Love Hewitt**, who played Julie James in the original, is also **”very much in negotiations”** to reprise her role, adding even more nostalgia to the anticipated release.
