**St. Louis, MO** – Mauricio Pochettino, the newly appointed head coach of the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT), will make his first official home appearance at Citypark in St. Louis on November 18th, leading the team in the Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal.
The game marks Pochettino’s first competitive home match since taking the helm from Gregg Berhalter, who was dismissed following the USMNT’s early exit at the Copa América. Pochettino will first lead the team in friendlies against Panama on October 12th in Austin, Texas, and Mexico three days later in Guadalajara.
The quarterfinal will be a two-legged affair, with the first leg taking place on either November 14th or 15th at an opponent’s home ground. The opponent will be determined by the results of the Nations League group stage matches played in September and October.
“This competition is an important part of our preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” said Pochettino. “As the holders, we want to defend this title and build this winning mentality.”
The USMNT has won the previous three editions of the Concacaf Nations League, cementing their status as a dominant force in the region. The team will be looking to maintain that dominance and build momentum towards the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
