Mon Sep 23 21:02:49 UTC 2024: ## Planet Green Metals Expands Sheraton Property in Ontario, Boosting VMS and Nickel-Copper Potential
**Vancouver, British Columbia – September 23, 2024** – Planet Green Metals Inc. (CSE: PGR) has announced a significant expansion of its Sheraton Property, located east of Timmins, Ontario. The company has staked 36 new claims, adding 680 hectares and increasing the property’s size by 36%. These new claims extend the property to the southwest and cover a strategic transect of prospective host rocks.
The expansion aligns with Planet Green’s exploration model for VMS-style mineralization, as outlined in the company’s previous release. The property features a rhyolite/intermediate volcanic contact, potentially linked to a significant volcanic center that could hold structurally controlled VMS mineralization. This is supported by historical drill intersections of zinc, silver, and copper at Cross Lake Minerals. Faults perpendicular to the rhyolite contact could act as traps for sulfide accumulation on the ancient seafloor, further enhancing the VMS potential.
Additionally, the presence of a troctolite dike cutting through the rhyolites suggests the possibility of magmatic sulfide-hosted nickel-copper PGE mineralization. This expansion introduces a new layer of opportunity for Planet Green, further solidifying its focus on critical minerals.
“This new acquisition aligns perfectly with our VMS-focused exploration model,” stated Jeremy S. Brett, President and CEO of Planet Green Metals. “We’re thrilled to have expanded our Sheraton Property with the help of Perry English, a respected prospector and co-founder of PGR. This expansion not only enhances our VMS potential but also introduces promising nickel-copper opportunities, further strengthening our commitment to critical minerals.”
The Sheraton Property benefits from excellent access via forestry roads and is located 25 km southwest of Matheson, Ontario. It covers the geological contact of felsic to intermediate volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks within the Wawa-Abitibi greenstone belt, known for its prospectivity for Cu-Zn±Au±Ag VMS-style mineralization.
Planet Green Metals continues to build a portfolio of high-quality, de-risked mineral exploration and royalty properties in Canada. The company actively seeks promising new projects to diversify its commodity base and provide shareholders with a resilient investment opportunity.
