Wed Sep 25 08:54:30 UTC 2024: ## Pawan Kalyan Accepts Karthi’s Apology, Wishes Him Well for ‘Meiyazhagan’

**Hyderabad, September 24:** A controversy sparked by Tamil actor Karthi’s comment about the Tirupati laddu fiasco has been resolved with Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan accepting his apology and extending best wishes for his upcoming film ‘Meiyazhagan’.

Karthi, attending the pre-release event of his film ‘Sathyam Sundaram’ (Telugu title of ‘Meiyazhagan’) in Hyderabad on September 23, had jokingly remarked about the sensitivity of the laddu issue, referring to a meme presented by the event’s anchor. This comment was perceived as insensitive by Pawan Kalyan, who addressed the issue at a media event, urging individuals in the film industry to either support or avoid commenting on matters concerning sacred institutions.

Following Pawan Kalyan’s comments, Karthi expressed his sincere apologies on social media, emphasizing his respect for traditions and devotion to Lord Venkateswara. He also clarified that his remarks were unintentional.

In response, Pawan Kalyan accepted Karthi’s apology on X (formerly Twitter), stating that he appreciated Karthi’s respect for shared traditions. He acknowledged the emotional weight of the matter for devotees and emphasized the need for careful handling of such topics by public figures.

Pawan Kalyan concluded his message with best wishes for ‘Meiyazhagan’, directed at Karthi, producer Suriya, and Jyothika. He commended Karthi’s acting abilities and expressed his admiration for the actor’s dedication to the film industry.

Both Karthi and Suriya expressed their gratitude for Pawan Kalyan’s wishes, effectively bringing the controversy to an end. ‘Meiyazhagan’, a Suriya production, is set to release in theatres on September 27.
