Mon Sep 23 21:28:58 UTC 2024: ## Kelce’s Frustration Sparks Discussion as Chiefs Dominate

Despite the Kansas City Chiefs’ third consecutive win, tight end Travis Kelce’s lack of targets has sparked discussion among fans and even his own quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes acknowledged the increased attention Kelce receives from opposing defenses, stating, “The respect factor teams have for Travis is unreal… It’s like two or three [defenders] are going to him.”

Despite the double-teams, Mahomes reassured fans that he will continue to target Kelce when opportunities arise. “I’m going to do my best to keep feeding him the ball whenever he’s there, whenever he’s open,” he said.

The quarterback also highlighted the emergence of other offensive weapons, including rookie Rashee Rice, as contributing to Kelce’s reduced targets. “I think the more Rashee [Rice] makes plays, the more we’re able to run the football, the more we can get [Xavier] Worthy involved, I think that’s going to open Travis up more.”

Kelce himself acknowledged the early-season struggles, but emphasized his focus on the team’s success. “I’m not about to sit here and get frustrated about it,” he stated on his podcast.

Despite his calm demeanor, Kelce was caught on camera appearing less-than-enthusiastic on the sidelines during the game. Fans took notice, sharing their support and expressing concern for the star tight end.

While Kelce’s targets may be down, the Chiefs remain undefeated and their offensive prowess is undeniable. It remains to be seen whether Kelce’s frustration will subside as the season progresses and he finds his rhythm alongside his talented teammates.
