**New York, NY** – In a unique twist on retail experiences, Nordstrom NYC’s men’s store is now home to a speakeasy-inspired bar, “New York Cocktail Company Presents Dante at Nordstrom,” in partnership with the iconic Greenwich Village café Dante and the New York Cocktail Company.
The pop-up, open through November, is part of Nordstrom’s “Nordstrom for Everything New York” campaign, celebrating the retailer as a destination for all things New York. Shoppers can enjoy classic Negronis, Mezcalitos, and chocolate and espresso Negronis from NYCC, along with Dante’s signature cheese and charcuterie boards, Marcona almonds, and marinated olives.
“This was a no-brainer for us,” said Linden Pride, owner of Dante and cofounder of NYCC. “Partnering with Nordstrom, renowned in NYC and beyond, to bring New York Cocktail Company and Dante to life in their store has been great.”
The Negroni, the most-sold classic cocktail in 2022, is a star attraction. The pop-up bar, strategically located near the men’s tailoring section, is open to all, with no reservations required. While the cocktails retail between $18 and $20, and snacks range from $7 to $47, the sales associates are complimentary.
The initiative reflects a long-standing connection between retail and libations, dating back to the Prohibition era when major stores advertised cocktail shakers and other bar accessories. This collaboration showcases Nordstrom’s commitment to creating engaging experiences for shoppers, blurring the lines between retail and hospitality.
